William V Linger,
DDS
Dr. Linger completed his undergraduate and dental education at
West Virginia University, graduating from the School of Dentistry in
1996, where he received the William Reed Butler Scholarship for
excellence in research. After graduation, Dr. Linger practiced with his
father in Chester, West Virginia and Beaver, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Linger has studied with some of the world’s leaders in cosmetic dentistry including the Pankey Institute and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. In 2003 he was awarded the prestigious Fellowship by the Academy of General Dentistry.
Your visit to the dentist should be a comfortable experience. As a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, Dr. Linger has treated patients who range from mildly apprehensive to extremely fearful. He believes in helping fearful patients accomplish their goal of being healthy.
He has worked extensively with air abrasion technology since 1997 and has successfully treated thousands of teeth with this technology. His professional memberships also include the Academy of General Dentistry, The Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, the International Congress for Oral Implantology, the American Dental Association, and the North Carolina Dental Society.
Dentistry is as much an art as a science. Dr. Linger is an artist in both his professional and personal life. An avid musician since the age of 8, Dr. Linger plays guitar, piano, and several other instruments. When he is not working he enjoys golf, mountain biking, skiing, scuba diving, and cooking. He is married to the former Sabrina Stroud, a graduate of UNCC. They have a daughter, Kiera.
